Hazard Mitigation Planning a Countywide Effort
15 municipalities, 4 school districts and Tioga County all worked to update the County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan. To help inform and engage the public and other local and regional stakeholders in the planning process, the County has developed a hazard mitigation website at:

Through partnerships and careful planning, identify and reduce the vulnerability to natural hazards in order to protect the general health, safety, welfare, quality of life, environment, and economy of the residents and communities within Tioga County.
